  • Approximate or selected location data used to provide localized forecasts and alerts.
  • Operational telemetry such as logs, crash reports, and basic device/browser diagnostics.
  • Device and browser identifiers, cookie IDs, and ad identifiers used for analytics and advertising.

2. How we use information

  • Provide weather forecasts, alerts, maps, and related site features.
  • Prevent abuse, detect fraud, and protect service integrity.
  • Measure and improve reliability, performance, and security.
  • Deliver and measure advertising, including personalized and non-personalized ads as described below.

3. Advertising and personalization choices

We display ads to support the service. Ads may be personalized based on general location, browsing activity, and identifiers, or non-personalized based on contextual signals. Personalized ads generally use cookies and similar technologies; non-personalized ads may still use limited identifiers for fraud prevention, frequency capping, and reporting.

4. Service model

Prospero is currently offered as an ad-supported service. We do not currently offer a paid, premium, or ad-free subscription plan.

5. Cookies and identifiers

We and our partners use cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies to remember preferences, understand usage, and serve ads. You can control cookies in your browser settings and may use ad controls offered by your device or browser to limit ad personalization.

You can also review additional details in our Cookie Policy.

6. Sharing and processors

We do not sell personal information for money. We may share data with service providers and advertising partners that process information on our behalf or as independent controllers/processors according to their roles and applicable law.

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

If you are a resident of California or other U.S. states with applicable privacy laws, you may have rights to know/access, delete, correct, and opt out of certain targeted advertising or profiling uses, subject to exceptions under law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising eligible rights.
